Martin Powers & Counsel Earns Local, Statewide Media Coverage

Martin Powers & Counsel, PLLC

The launch of Martin Powers & Counsel is continuing to earn media coverage in multiple local and statewide reports. Texas Lawyer interviewed firm founder Meagan Martin Powers about her decision to form the firm soon after we opened our doors in “Dallas Lawyer Starts All-Woman Firm With GC Focus.”

The article notes the firm’s commitment to providing general counsel services for small- and medium-sized companies while also helping clients with business litigation, employment matters, and bankruptcy issues.

“There is a real need for general counsel services in smaller businesses. There’s not economic reasoning to have their own internal lawyers,” Ms. Martin Powers told Texas Lawyer.

The announcement about the firm’s start also was reported in the Dallas Business Journal’s “People on the Move” column and Attorney at Law magazine’s “Talk of the Town.” Earlier this month, Texas Lawyer noted Martin Powers & Counsel’s four women attorneys in “Being a Women-Owned Law Firm Can Open Doors,” which describes how a women-owned law firm can provide advantages for clients and attorneys alike.
